The pillow is beautiful. I got it in the color that I think of as salmon (I think it's named something else) and it does look like the photograph. The pattern is not embroidery; it's in the weave (which means it's less susceptible to a thread getting pulled). It's quite firm.

Great textured pattern and color will break up the blue velvet expanse of a large sofa. The insert has good fill and is substantial. Overall great quality!
