We were looking for a bed that would fit under our window and there were not as many frames available under that height in the style we were looking for but this one fit perfectly. With a slight modification from our original plan. This bed was exactly what we are looking for. The description says the bed is a platform bed and no box spring is needed, while you can use this bed with just a mattress, I would recommend adding a box spring. We removed the bed slats and replaced with a 9" metal box spring. This accompanied with a 10" memory foam mattress leaves this mattress at the perfect height. Great sturdy bed. I dont usually assemble big items for our family but I was able to do this one by myself. Tested for some time. Very sturdy and quiet. Nice profile. The green is more grayish than the photos but not a deal breaker difference. The box came with a hole in it that punctured the back fabric of the headboard.
