3 Reasons You Don't Need a Laundry Room
We’ve got it all sorted out.
Even without a laundry room, it's possible to wash, dry, and fold like a pro from anywhere in your home. Just revamp the area around your existing machines, or make room for new appliances in one of these easy-to-transform spaces.
1. Use a bathroom corner.
If your washer and dryer units are installed in the bathroom, hang a patterned shower curtain to offset the area – then add a wall shelf above for supplies. Styles with built-in hanging bars make air-drying delicates a breeze.
2. Refresh the basement.
Separate laundry machines from the rest of the basement with a tall bookcase, which doubles as storage for detergent and supplies. Then add a console table for must-have folding space, and tuck hampers underneath for sorting.
3. Transform a hall closet.
If plumbing permits, empty an easy-access closet and install appliances side by side or stacked. Then complete the space with over-the-door storage and wall-mounted drying racks.
